Your Gulliver Guide
Stephen Banick is the founder of The Gulliver Project®, Inc. As a restless adventurer, observer and chronicler of the world at large, his forays into six continents have compelled him to seek a way to expose people to – and connect them with – ways they can Feel better, Have more, and Be more in the emerging global community.
He's had a colorful career: an author and speaker; a partner in an international Natural Foods importing agency; an industrial engineer for a Fortune 100 computer systems manufacturer (Hewlett Packard); a teacher of ESL (English as a Second Language); and director of sales and marketing, and manager of recruiting, for several companies in the Information Technology consulting and Public Health software products world.
Steve earned a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Boise State University; however, he’s quick to add that most of his education has been received far from the ivory towers of academia or the polished floors of Corporation, Inc. A “Student of the World,” Steve wraps his knowledge of business, geo-politics, history, geography, mythology, theology, and other “cross-cultural” collisions into a rich, diverse platform that invites participants to pursue global citizenry – and personal empowerment – on their own terms.
An Eight-point compass defines Steve’s philosophy, which he strives to bring into all endeavors:
~ Travel Widely ~ Tread Lightly ~ Listen Carefully ~ Speak Truthfully
~ Think Deeply ~ Question Thoroughly ~ Laugh Heartily ~ Love Fully
A native of the Southeast U.S., Steve has spent the last several decades working (and playing!) his way south down the western slope of the Rockies, with a few sizeable detours and P.O. boxes outside the country. Steve and his wife, Alexis, currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona
